Family 5K Run for Life presented by Council for Life/Young Leaders for Life
#1 Saturday, Apr 19 8:00a
SMU Gerald J. Ford Football Stadium
Dallas, TX
Join in the Family 5K Run for Life presented by Council for Life/Young Leaders for Life to celebrate adoption, the ultimate gift of life and love in building strong families. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to enjoy a day of racing, games and for the first time the Hunt 'n' Run Easter Egg Hunt! Proceeds benefit Gladney Center for Adoption and Buckner Children and Family Services.
Specific details can be found at the Council for Life Facebook or website.
#2 Commit yourself whole-heatedly to this tradition of eating eggs. We eat eggs at Easter because, traditionally, eating eggs was banned in the week before Easter (known as Holy Week). The leftover eggs were decorated and given to children – sooner or later someone had the bright idea of making them out of chocolate. They’re also a handy way of ensuring that Lent is well and truly forgotten about in a blaze of sugary glory.
#3 Easter Egg Hunt At The Dallas Arboretum
Bring your Easter basket and participate in what promises to be a delightful event for the young and young at heart. Enjoy a beloved holiday tradition at our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children will be divided into two age groups (2-5 and 6-9) as they search the garden for Easter eggs. Those with Individual memberships are allowed to purchase three tickets to the Easter Egg Hunt and those with Family Memberships are allowed to purchase six tickets.
